Has anyone else been having issues with email alerts? For the past month, my email alerts have been all over the place. Sometimes I won't get them until the next day! My email works fine (I've tested it from several angles) my Entune App is up to date (Android), all of my info is correct on the Entune App and website and on my last service Toyota said everything was great. On November 14, 2014 I put a call in to Toyota Entune 1-800-331-4331 and they were useless. Since then, they have been giving me the run around and telling me that their "techs" are working on it. They even had me change my Entune password (to their liking) so they could access my account. Initially the rep told me that no one else has called to complain about this issue but the next time I spoke to her, she told me that another person came forward with the same complaint. Of course, they've never called or emailed me to give me an update. What gives!?!?
I don't have the Advanced, so no Entune App to tell me when charging is done. That said, I find that the charging time is easily predictable to within 15 minutes. I just look at the battery level before I turn off. Battery Level / 120V / 240V Empty / 2.5 hours / 1.5 hours Half Full / 1.25 hours / 0.75 hours Note that during the last 15 minutes of charging, you're charging at a very slow rate anyway, so if it was empty and you charged for 2.25 hours / 1.25 hours, then you're already +95% full.
I have had the same notification issue for at least two months. Sent an inquiry to Toyota support a few weeks ago and they asked for access to my Entune account to monitor the emails. Only received three notifications in the past two weeks and they were delivered 12-24 hours late. Toyota just replied that this was an issue with the email service they use and it was being worked on. At least they admitted to a problem.
@se-riously geez I didn't even know that. That is too bad. Though it's not the best app, it definitely comes in handy. I understand what you mean by timing predictability but I paid a premium for this feature (it was a selling point!) and I expect it to work. @dyyuan Please call Toyota Entune and alert them of this issue. I feel that since no one is calling about it, they are putting it on the back burner. Ask for Robin (if possible) Toyota Entune 1-800-331-4331 and tell them you are also experiencing this issue. Mention this website. You can also email them from your Entune account online but all you get are auto-generated replies. @SAronian Of course, I've yet to get an update from them. You must be the other person Robin @ Toyota was talking about.
I got my notification at 4pm but my charge would have been done at 9am. How bout the charging station locator ? I can't change my location to Ohio it still says Virginia . Anyone have this problem. Toyota customer service for entune apps are very bad.
@Greenwave Please call and ask for Robin (if possible) at Toyota Entune 1-800-331-4331 to them about your problem. Regarding the Charging Station Locator (this is not an issue I have), is this on the App or in your car? I'd check your settings in your car or entune account online. Good Luck!
It is in my car. It works with a entune app on my phone for the advanced model. When I push change location and change it to my city inside the car. It will ignore that and still give me locations in Virginia. I can use other apps on my phone as a locator but when you pay more for advanced features you want everything to work.
Now that a year and a half has passed, is everyone getting their charging notifications? I am in my first month of Safety Connect and though the emails were right on time at the beginning, I recently went several days with nothing. Sure, Entune (Android) can show me the state of charge when I specifically ask for it, but that’s not the same as getting real-time notices. The poor Entune rep had no idea and could only verify that I should be getting emails. After I changed my email address back and forth I managed to get two notices yesterday, but no more. Any ideas? If this was a problem with Toyota’s mail server, they have certainly had enough time to fix it by now.
Notifications has been working fine for quite a while. However my complementary Safety Connect subscription expired in June and I elected not to renew at $140 per year.
I've had my Prime almost a month, and it is handy to know when charging is done. My Entune app is unreliable. Today for example, it popped up with a notification on my iPhone that "charging is complete" 45 minutes after I had unplugged the car. I did this because my car's dashboard had given me a time estimate.
