Can anyone suggest an honest affordable repair station in the Northern Virginia area, Fairfax area. Maybe there's a prius chat discount...?..I' don't come here much. I don't know if there is a list or something of repair stations.
Would prefer to get my Front wheel bearing replaced before heading 250 miles back home. 199,500 miles on my 06.
Thanks if anyone can suggest a station, or point me to a list. I thought there may be dedicated forum for recommended repair stations. I mean, why not?

    Thanks

My dealership tends to get good reports here...that is Miller Toyota in Mannassas..they have a some kind of discount (Costco?) some people say.

As far as repair shops...mostly we have a lack of Prius specialty shops...everyone always asks and we have nothing. You can check Consumer Checkbook for reputable general car repair shops in the area. It's sort of like a local Consumer Reports for DC area.

Hilmuth in MD may be a hybrid shop.

    One NJ transplant to another....

Front wheel bearings are a straight forward job and any general repair shop should be able to replace it as it's not much different from a normal car. Order the part online from Rockauto.com or any other place and call around. We usually charge $275 parts and labor to replace a hub or $500 for both. It should take 2-3 hours for an average shop labor wise. Good luck

Thanks yalls. I used yelp and found some places with great reviews. When I did the other front bearing, I paid about 150 for hub and about 200-250 in labor. Mostly becuase the front hubs get frozen and can be very stubborn to get out resulting in more time. Also I understand care must be taken with front calipers, or they could shoot out the piston.
    I'll make some calls.
And its actually NJ to NC, with in-laws pit stop here in Fairfax.

OK now I'm guessing South Jersey...before that 250 miles had you in North Jersey
