Today I was driving home and I got a Caution warning and the oil pressure light came on. The manual says 1.6 quarts of oil but I saw higher numbers like 4 qt online. I guess I'm going to my mechanic tomorrow but I'm hoping that I can worry less on the way there by some of your collective knowledge. My husband added 1.5ish quarts today.
3.5 qrts is plenty in the gen2. That's from empty though, i.e., after oil drain. I'd recommend a full oilo change now as it's run low. How many miles on the car? and since last change? Welcome to Priuschat btw
