Juiced Hybrid is having a nice sale over Thanksgiving weekend. I'm ordering a lower front brace. (It crosses aft of the heat shield. A red Tanabe brace with internal longitudinal stiffeners.) I looked at the larger and heavier Cusco brace and concluded that it braces areas that are already well stiffened by factory parts forward of the heat shield. And now, especially since my 2013 has the stronger short triangular factory braces at each side aft of the heat shield where the Tanabe brace will attach I feel the Tanabe is all that is needed in that area. The 2012 the short factory braces were L-shaped and not as stiff as the newer triangular braces.
Last year, I bought the CUSCO strut tower brace and got a 5% off their regular "selling price." They didn't have it in stock and promised delivery in a week. It war actually three weeks. I'm more like believing that they are 30% off of their claimed "retail price," a price at which NO ONE pays or NONE were ever sold. Over the past two and a half years, I studied both the CUSCO and Tanabe suspension upgrades extensively. Only the Gen III "strut tower brace" is well designed and implemented. I was, however, disappointed with the six piece DIN style connector bolts with the washers, lock washers, and acorn nuts. I replace them with 10.9 JIS equivalents that included a flange bolt and one single flange nut.
Same prices as always. No discount reflected on their site, even with a banner stating "30% off store-wide sale".
I see a banner on their website and received several emails which states "30% off store-wide". Having a few dollars off, in lieu of 30%, in no way reflects the stated conditions and is false advertising. If the banner had said "up to 30% off", a few dollars off their retail price would suffice. This is not a business model I will ever support. Just my $0.02 worth.
