best ride lowering springs?

I don't like Tein's customer service. I've never run the Tanabe NF springs but they will probably do if you're looking for a mild drop while keeping ride comfort. After that you're going down the swift racing spring road

 

I like my TRD Springs. Lessens the gap but mild enough it does not scrape.

 

I have tein they have been great

Did you do install yourself? If so how hard was it to do? Dealership quoted me $600 to install!!!! And no they weren't kidding...

 

I am a mechanic and did the install myself it's very easy took me about 3 hours their is a lot of information about doing the installation and some you tube videos

 

I did not install myself. A reliable shop should be able to install for half the price the dealer is quoting you.

 

Would it be silly to lower my persona now as snow is certain to start falling over the next few months.......

Granted I am In Philly area but last yr was pretty nasty, last couple yrs before not so much...

Personally I think my persona handles great, dare I say better than my prior muscle /sports car charger r/t.

 

If you need to keep the clearance because of the snow, why not wait till summer to install the lowering springs and install suspension braces for now. It's well worth it. That's exactly what I did.

 

TRD springs here as well. Thumbs up all around, well match for stock dampers, still retains a good ride, handles better and just enough drop.

 

I'll say the same for my Eibachs ;-) About the same ride and drop as TRD from what I've read. Combined with stock dampers the car still drives great after 18 months and 12k miles

 

TRD's are re-labled Eibachs from what I read..

 

I agree. I spoke to an Eibach representative and he says that Eibach is a main supplier of performance springs to Toyota.

 

So where is the best price / place to buy either the Eibachs or TRD springs since as stated above they are the same springs.

I haven't shopped around lately but I bet they hover right around $200. I bet shipping will be the bigger factor.

Also, alignment needed will be only just the front. The rear being a trailing arm, nothing they can adjust unless they shim it.
