So I've got a few lined up that I'm interested in. They're all around $17.5k and range from 20,XXX to 35, XXX. I live in the eastern part of pa. Anyone on here buy used in that mileage range? If you don't mind me asking, what did you pay? I have a large sum to put down for a down payment.
What trim level are we talking here? 2, 3, 4, 5?? If a trim level 2 be advised you can find a brand new leftover 2014 for 21k or less. But if your talking a level 3 or higher with 20-30k miles 17.5k price range sounds about right. Also, is the dealership including any extended warranty? Good luck with your search.
. not quite. The new VW EV/Hybrids look fascinating, never rule VW out, remember: VW and BMW are German Engineering like Mercedes. None of them are slouches. Generally just when one gives up on a company, they are already coming back.
Trim level 2. Sorry forgot to mention. Don't get me wrong I like volkswagens I'm just starting to dislike the people associated with them. Mainly obnoxious kids. If I didn't drive predominantly back roads and drove more highway I'd be buying a 2015 golf tdi. Since I'm not the prius seems the way to go. I also like that I never really hear about people having problems with them.
knock me over with a feather if the're really committed to it, and it isn't just marketing hype. germans like power, the more the better, and they have yet to make a reliable car. their engineering is outstanding though.
Ok, marketing works as intended since you believe it! I am not quite sure of engineering quality without reliability.
My volkswagens always ran they just always had stupid small issues. I just sold my favorite one to date. 1983 rabbit diesel. Great, reliable little economy car. No electronics. Awesome car. Hated to see it go. Everything else I've owned was much newer. Great cars just quirky little problems.
I test drove a 2015 VW golf TDI, if it wasn't for the pompass pricks at the vw dealership an the nearly 10+k lowball on my trade I might have considered going bak to vw. But then I remembered the almost monthly visits to the dealership for stupid warranty issues when we owned a 2012 sportwagen. It was constant and annoying. Now my wife drives a Rav4, and me the prius persona. Couldn't be happier. Oh and my parents rock a rav4 and a highlander limited. A true toyota family. Lol.
I know all about that. I hate the vw dealership. One thing driving me toward the prius is the fact that my mom bought a 2000 4runner new off the lot and since then it has only needed brakes and tires. Just recenlty the timing belt and water pump were done but with its age and mileage thats normal. Still sounds like it did the day it was purchased.
Years ago I bought a Dasher, VW, new 1977. . Within the first week, getting ready to drive to work, the car would not start!. I was fit to be tied. Calmed down and decided to look under the hood. Started to wiggle things and found everyone of the injectors were not seated! So I pushed each one down firmly and never had another problem with the car. Now, how did that happen ? From the factory ?
