All of a sudden the Sideview mirrors on my prius aren't working. Which fuse controls the Sideview mirrors? Any other suggestions?
The same thing happened to me. I took it to the dealer for my oil change and asked them to change the fuse. They came back and said the two "channels" to move the mirrors were filled with leaf debris. They cleaned them out and they work great now. Sorry I can't tell you how to get to them to clean them out, someone else might be able to help.
One of my mirrors didn't work when I bought the car (forget which one). After flipping the left/right switch about 50 times it sprang to life. The contacts must be susceptible to corrosion. Still gets balky once in a while and I have to "polish" the contacts again.
I'll try that. Certainly cheaper than a dealer repair. Edited to say...OMG!! It worked! I counted 25 flips of the switch and now both work again!
I had a similar problem. Left worked ok. Right was intermittent. I was able to easily replace the switch with one I purchased used off ebay for just $25. It's a very easy repair/replacement once you have the switch.
anyone know the brand and part # for the replacement? i can't seem to find it. appreciate if someone can give a pointer to the site where I can buy the replacement part.
There are several on ebay, this one has a picture with the part number on it. Compare it to your original switch: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F253707234766 Posted via the PriusChat mobile app.
Thanks! does it mean I need to take out the switch in my prius, and find the part # on it and compare?
Both of my 2010 Prius side mirrors stopped working. I spent a few hours searching for answers, then trying to figure out what fuse(s) might be involved... and happened to glance at your post. Gave it a try, flipped the L/R switch back and forth about 50 times and it worked!!! Amazing... thanks!!!
