Traded in my well-worn 2008 Prius earlier this week. The odometer had just clicked over 190K. The suspension was getting a little loose, I think one or two of the wheel bearings were on their way out, and I finally saw a CEL and code P0420 for catalyst efficiency below threshold. The ICE was using about 2 quarts every 5K. Hybrid battery was still good as far as I could tell. No major expenses after purchase other than routine maintenance. An amazing vehicle. Had been looking for a Generation III upgrade for some time, and the right vehicle came along. Found a 2011 Prius Three that just wanted to come home with me. Now I have that steep Prius technology learning curve to ascend once again. I will still keep tabs on the Generation II happenings, and ask questions and provide comments wherever I can. After I finish studying the 632 pages in the Gen III Owner's Manual, no easy task, it will be off to the Generation III forum for even more reading. So, with that, I guess we'll be seeing you in the movies.
Funny thing, I never read the manual on our Gen III. Just kind of skimmed through it. I have a feeling you will love the Gen III just as I do. I have said this: I liked the Gen II Prius we had. I LOVE the Gen III we now have. Peace, Ron (dorunron)

Slept in our Gen III. Stayed overnight Navarro County Rest Stop. Left in Ready Mode while sleeping. Nice and warm and able to get some shut eye. If I would have had a mattress in the back could have slept there too.... See my post on Road Trip Over Mountains for more info Ron (dorunron)
