<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(modernsituations @ Mar 30 2006, 12:22 PM) </div> Oh yes, I watched it! It's pretty funny. I actually scream, "oh that's a Prius" when I first saw it. I love the last part when they said something like, "can we drive hybrids without smug?" "no, i'm not ready. the technology isn't there yet."
when i drive on the highway or anywhere me and my fiance always point out prii driving and hope to get a wave or a peace sign or something...i can say that there are a bunch of smuggy drivers out there. if you see plate "MO MILES" please give me a peace sign! =)
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(LaughingMan @ Mar 28 2006, 06:57 PM) </div> I saw it. It was a great episode. There is no reason to complain. It was ultimately pro-hybrid.
It was indeed pro-hybrid. The "attack" was mostly on the "better-than-the-rest" attitude of hybrid owners. I liked the part in the parking lot where Kyle's dad was giving tickets to gas-guzzlers. Jimbo, of all people! I did expect more reactions on this thread though. Seeing those "Pious" and "Hindsight" getting trashed broke my heart.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(galaxee @ Mar 28 2006, 07:08 PM) </div> You have another reason to want Comedy Central: http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic.../603300318/1022 I'm going to have to start watching that channel again. B)
The Colbert Report is one of the funniest things on tv. His interview with Mike Brown from FEMA was classic. He's got balls of steel!
You can purchase Comedy Central shows - like SouthPark - through iTunes. This is what I'm going to when I'm back in my college town for grad school (no cable there - cheapest is $40 a month!). There's a season 10 (the current one) pass that's $11.99. "Smug Alert" isn't up yet, but should be soon. A good option if you don't get cable/satellite and don't watch much tv (w/ the major con being that you can't get everything on itunes yet).
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(etyler88 @ Mar 29 2006, 02:03 PM) </div> Unfortunately, no links to give... It's a very exculsive private network. one can't be too careful...
Notice a lot of the ones getting crushed were actually Insights and not Prius. Also, the Prius have the extended Japanese rear spoiler, the inside of some of the Hybrids use the standard circle dials instead of the real screens and displays. It's nice they ended it saying it's not the "guns" that mess things up, it's the "fruity people club" that do.
some shows are available several hours before they air, depending on where you live. I live in CA, so I could get the show 3 hours before I saw it on tv. To Get the Southpark Show in three somewhat easy steps: 1. Go here: http://www.mininova.org/faq to learn about torrents 2. Download a bittorrent program (for free): www.bittorrent.com 3. Get the EP here (also for free): http://www.mininova.org/search/?search=southpark+smug
I thought it was hilarious. I was in the process of trying to pick a personalized plate, and my first picks are taken, so, I just applied online for CA plate "1TMYMPG" (all the cars in the episode had this plate). It was available!!! [attachmentid=2784] Edit: Fixed misspelling in plate, "1NT..." to "1T..."

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(bsd43 @ Mar 31 2006, 01:09 PM) </div> But what does that mean???
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(OverTork @ Mar 28 2006, 09:29 PM) </div> How does that quote go? "He who can't laugh at himself has missed the biggest joke of them all." South Park has made fun of pretty much every group, why not hybrid owners? It would be funny to have a hybrid owner vs Hummer owner episode.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(TJandGENESIS @ Mar 31 2006, 12:15 PM) </div> We went back and watched the episode again last night, and that plate was the one thing I freeze-framed so I could read it. The only thing I could figure out was "Want My Miles per Gallon". Is that right? Its sort of like my wife's "HVMP" license plate: no one gets it.
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(keydiver @ Mar 31 2006, 09:52 AM) </div> "Want My MPG". I should get the plates in a couple of months. B) I didn't think it was that hard to figure out... Now I've got that darn song in my head (the intro to Money for Nothing, Dire Straits). "I want my... I want my... I want my MPG"
