It was super easy, took like five minutes. you just set it on there and align it, mask the outline with some tape, then unscrew the old antenna and screw the new one in, peel off the backing from the adhesive and stick it down inside the tape outline you made. No idea if it affected my mpg at this point, I had only filled up once before I installed it and I'm not doing any controlled testing.

Anyone have experience with removing the roof console in a 2010? What is the secret?

It just pulls down. I believe it's 4 clips, 1 at each corner that hold it in.....no screws.

I swapped the iJDMTOY door LED's, that I previously installed, with a pair of 5k white LED's from VLEDS. The difference between the two is night and day(pun intended :p ). The VLEDS 5k white LED's are mounted facing the same direction and have a built in circuit, so that the LED can be plugged in either direction, in other words, there are no polarity issues as with most LED's.

The promo code "10OCT" still works for 10% off any order.

Installed a white anodized aluminum, stubby antenna. I'm not worried about reception issues, with over 18TBs(yes, that's correct, 18 terrabytes) of live music recordings, I very rarely use the radio.

New toys, rear hatch cargo lights, arrived from Japan. :)
    IMG_4707.JPG

Ordered on Oct 16 from Share Style and received on Oct 26.

May Google Translate help me decipher the instructions. (n)

Time to get to work on the rear hatch area. I waited for the hatch cargo lights to arrive, before beginning the rear wiper delete, 3rd brake light flasher module and now the hatch cargo light mods together.

Bonus delivery over the weekend, a pair of requested color swatches from Clazzio for seat covers.

Not really something I did to the vehicle.

But last week finally took The Prius into the dealership for the 15000 mile service. Which took way too long, for what was essentially tire rotation and supposed inspection.

But while I was waiting, checked out the dealership "parts" department. They got some silicone FOB covers.

I had a similar cover for my Honda. Loved it.

Bought one for The Prius. Love it. Covers the entire thing...form fitting...adds extra protection and water resistance. This one has two bumps on the lock button cover, which allows me to "feel" which button I'm pressing in the dark.

    Best $5.99 I've spent recently.

Unfortunately, I'm on my way to work right now. The hatch will have to wait until Thursday or Friday.

Aren't these also known as "keep your children/loved ones in check restraints"?

    Just kidding.... :p

Hit 1000 miles, and swapped out the internal bulbs for white LEDs. Replaced the dome, map, door, license plate, reverse, and cargo area lights using this kit from Amazon: Amazon.com: Toyota Prius LED Package Interior + Tag + Reverse Lights (10 pieces): Automotive

And here is the first picture! I used the black sharkfin antenna because with the solar roof I really like the black accents on the white body. I'm considering putting on black side moldings as well, has anyone else done that on a white car?

Here's the link for the hatch cargo lights. >>CLICK HERE<< I bought them through the Rakuten Global Market from Share Style.

The cost varies with the value of the dollar vs yen. Currently it's priced at $48.77 + shipping to the US. I paid a total of $71.48, but the exchange rate has dropped the price slightly. It took a total of 10 days, from initial order to receiving them in CA.
