Just be aware that the first tank that you didn't fill can be misleading in either direction. You have to realize that they most likely didn't fill up the tank to the brim or even to a click like you would. Most of the time they just get it close and call it good as your fuel light will still show full, even when it might have 30ish miles on the first bar already (not necessarily miles driven, but by not filling the tank it is essentially the same thing). That being said, if they did this, then your true mpgs are even better.
Well we just got thru are first tank which was the dealer fill and got 42.2 MPG measured at the pump not the gauge in the car. I fully expect to get better the next tank, but will post here when we fill again. Enjoying my C for sure!
I took the miles we went (by zeroing out the trip A when we picked up the car from the dealer) and divided that number by how many gallons it took to fill the car. Ready not sure it the tank was really "full" from the dealer but must be close. Does that make sense. I kind of take the first tank numbers with a grain of salt. Looks like you have a pretty good average based on your Fuelly number!
That's what I was curious about. Thanks for the response. The first pip can run from 50 up to around 110 miles before disappearing. With that in mind, I'd be willing to put money that your next tank will be better.
I am counting on it. If I can average49.2 MPG on a Honda Insight, I think I can do better with the Prius C.
