I hope a lot of you saw the most recent South Park episode on hybrid drivers and the "smuggy" air. It was absolutely HILARIOUS. As a proud Prius driver, I thought they made some funny points and enjoyed the episode a lot. Any others have some opinions on the episode?
Definitely hilarious - loved the George Clooney touch! Well a few afterthoughts.... I suppose I haven't met any hybrid drivers that are 'smug' in that sense - perhaps it's more a dig at Hollywood and the left... I didn't get the farting part... but other than that it was great! I really liked the ending touch - where Stan talks about how smugness is a problem in people, and not hybrids... and people just need to learn how to drive hybrids - they could save the world one day... and then the citizens of South Park are like - we aren't ready yet - Let's go back to our gas guzzlers! Reminds me of the portrayal of hybrids in the media - the inability to accept the new technology keeps evolving to now where they will hurt the US economy!!!! Why even import non-domestic cars??? Let's just build our own and suffer development from a lack of competition and creativity! Just accept it already!!!!!!!

I've never watched South Park before but watched tonight after seeing in a post that they were going to have hybrids on. I thought that they did a good job. I had several good laughs.
Anyone catch Mr. Broughlowsky's (sp?!) license plate on his 1st Gen Prius? It was too quick of a shot for me to read it.
The real homerun for me was when they ran a Toyota ad during the commercial break. And yes, they did mention that they sell hybrids :lol: I think that the fart thing was a watered down version of people who think that their sh*t doesn't stink but fart makes it easier to do a visual gag. Still, if they could only come up with Prius owners being so smug that we don't believe our you-know-what doesn't stink then I'm happy with that. I don't recall SUV drivers, back when gasoline was $1.05 per gallon, being called smug. A**holes, jerks, morons, yes, but never smug

We almost picked "SMUG" as a custom license plate for our Prius when we bought it. And as a vegetarian, I'm happy to confirm that my farts do stink.
I also saw the clip on the web. One of the guys at work was showing it to everyone and we were laughing our a#$%'ss off, :lol: .
I just caught the rerun. I believe I could have written it, like a memoir. I absolutely love the smell when I fart in my Prius.
