i was cleaning out my car interior the other day, and i found this strange plastic piece on the floor on the front passenger side. it's hard to see in the pic, but it's six sided. it has a hole in the center and looks to be designed to be screwed onto something. any ideas what it is, and where it came from? i haven't been carrying anything in the front passenger seat, so i assume it's from the prius.
That looks like a cap to cover bolt threads and probably to hold something in place. You may want to look up behind the glove box and see if you see any missing. Also remove the glove box and see if can be part of the AC blower motor assembly.
Last time I saw something similar is on the back corner trays in the hatch section of the Prius hatchbacks. It's the nut that holds down the tray
found it! i looked under the glove compartment and saw an exposed thread. i put the cap onto it and it fit like it was made for it. i looked over to the driver's side under the dash, and there's an identical part there too. it holds down some of the plastic molding around the leg area. thanks guys!
That is typically used to hold down the forward inside edge of the kick panel. Have the same thing in my sequoia. iPhone ?
