I do not know guys, the standard is higher than it would have been without including the large SUVs, and they've only got 5 years to do this. That means they're going to have to start making changes or improvements to reach the mark before then. Would it be nice to demand that all SUVs get 30mpg by next year, yea, but it's not realistic. Compromises have to be made to make the world turn and this is an "OK" step, not a great one, but the first one in 20 years. I'll take what I can get over nothing.

GM will definitely be building a Hummer that is over 10,000 pounds. Ford will certainly be building a Three-Row Pickup with a detachable bed. GM will still tell us that killing the EV1 was a good idea even though gas will cost $5 a gallon. (Or $10?) Nate
