I was surprised to see that the Prius Plug-in Advanced colors have been limited for 2015. No Clearwater Blue Metallic available on the Advanced and only one color, Winter Gray Metallic, with the Technology Package.
Probably not expecting to make many of them before the next gen pip comes out. As for the blue, maybe it wasn't a popular color? I see quite a few used ones in blue metallic, but not too many in the colors.
When I was searching for a used PiP a little over a year ago, the blue was what we most wanted, but it was clearly the hardest to find. I would say that maybe 10% at most of the used PiPs on the market were Clearwater blue. Green was second hardest to find, followed by gray, and then white & silver. I have always struggled with the fact that car makers produce most of their production in the boring colors!! In the end, with the small number of blue units available, and the fact that none of them were hitting our budget, we got a Winter Gray, which was my second favorite anyway.
Hands down I would have bought my Prius Plug-in in the Nautical Blue Metallic color if Toyota had offered it. Their color selection is definitely pretty tiny.
agree with all of the above. you have to get to the avalon and above (lexus) to get decent color choices.
When the dealer told me they had one in stock and it was Baby Blue, needless to say I wasnt excited. Even when I saw it it wasnt my first choice. But now I love it and I am so glad I got it. I had the windows tinted and I find that the color really shows off the curves of the car.
The color I really wanted was Black Cherry Pearl. When they finally offer the color, it is restricted to the Persona Edition. In Japan you can get the PHV Prius in black cherry pearl and it looks great.
Black Cherry Pearl would have been at the top of my list too. Why can't they have all the beautiful Prius c colors in the Prius liftback/PiP lineup? The Prius colors are getting boring. The only "exciting" one is Barcelona Red (which is awesome, my 2nd-gen Prius was Barcelona Red and I loved it), but of course the PiP isn't offered in red, and the rest of the colors are pretty boring. I settled on Winter Gray because the chrome accents on the PiP make it look incredibly sophisticated, especially after adding the lower rocker trim pieces.
I got the Clearwater blue in Maryland .i wanted the advanced package and they only had 1 used 2012. They had green in a base model. I wish they had a lighter green like Mazda has. All the toyota's I have had and no green like the 2011 camaro. I like my blue but next car is going to be green if I have to paint it.
