can 2010 Prius run on gas only?

I don't believe in concealing car problems, just to get it sold.
It's just a "do unto others" complex I seem to have...

 

It was meant in jest and a stab at the previous owner who potentially knew of these issues that the OP has just experienced. Call me cynical, but for these problems to occur just a few thousand miles and a couple of months into new ownership smells to me.

But I guess you have a similar law of buyer beware in the US?

 

The other thing I've seen is people and used car lots, replacing a single failing cell, then quickly selling the car before the car starts throwing codes again. Sad, really.
Hopefully karma catches up with these people.

 

With a car with the many miles on it, anything could break at any time can't blame the old owner all the time.

 

When I was younger...well young PERIOD. I made some very bad used car purchases.

Oddly perhaps, I would invest a lot of time and money into fixing whatever problem or problems had revealed themselves. Then because of the problems I had...I would have such a bad taste in my mouth about the vehicle I would THEN sell the vehicle at usually a substantial loss.

I guess I always felt it was unethical or wrong to NOT reveal a problem with a vehicle.

However, a lesson I learned pretty early, is that unfortunately there is a lot of the rest of the world that doesn't feel the same way.

I was stung by the orange battery plug not being seated correctly when I removed it when I first got my vehicle.

Once seated. You must slide it sideways into place.

 

voltage's seem okay, the fan could definitely have been the problem.

 

Has the car had the inverter reprogram mod. done? It -could- be the inverter is damaged. It should be warranty on that, even with that many miles, as that's a recall.
