So the "premium" sound leaves a lot to be desired, I would like to add a 10" sub I think the best way to go woud be to run it off a seperate amp, and keep the stock JBL HU (even though it sucks) if I understand this correctly I have to use the actual stock speaker wires as the input to the new amp is that right? Ideally id like to upgrade the stock speakers and just add the sub and I think that would sound pretty good Please discuss...
That's what I have going on right now and it's working well. The HU is all that's stock now. Replaced the front speakers, rear are currently disconnected until I get new ones and a shallow mount sub in the hidden compartment under the hatch with the amp.
