Hey guys The right section if the dashboard which has all of the car related graphics and mileage won't turn on anymore. Nothing else is wrong with the car. Assuming this is a battery/fuse/wire issue? Hopefully not a dead display. Anyway for me to figure this out on my own before the painfull process if going to the dealer? Any recommendation will be greatly appreciated and photo is attached
your on the right track. start with the low hanging fruit. 1)fuses, 2) battery, 3) wiring, 4) display. maybe run it by your service advisor to see if there is a tsb on the display. all the best!
I looked at a 2010 used prius that had a blurry display. Not sure what was wrong with that one. I wouldn't think the display has more than one power supplied to it. So, if half is working then it probably has power. But you never know. Hopefully it is only a connector partly off or loose.
Nothing laying on the dash in front of the display ? When my 2010 was only a few weeks old, we drove to an advertised event, all seemed normal . afterwords, we started the Prius and drove away, noticed OH CRAP, the right half of the dash is out ? Was thinking a trip to the dealer when I noticed the little poster advertising the event,laying on the dash, slid right up to the display screen, where it was blocking the light from under the display. Lifted that poster off the dash and all was well again. Until that, I did not realize that the dash display was a bottom projection widget
Not to be a smart a, bit did you try the disp button on the wheel? Someone might've just turned it off
