What's with the notch on the left side of the glove compartment?

    I don't think I've ever seen a glove compartment with a notch like this (I have a 2012 Prius Two). Is that so you can stash a bottle of wine in there? Or is it just available space that the engineering team decided to make available just in case it had a use?

    Yeah, someone posted a picture on the Internet that a bottle of champagne/wine fits perfectly by aligning the cork side in the notch. :D

    Perhaps re-route an A/C duct for the wine cooler.....now to find a couple of champagne flutes that fit!
