Drive efficiently you won't be setting speed records. Drive for speed records, you won't be driving efficiently. Only news to those without two brain cells to rub together.
Now a Prius joke... Recently seen on BBC TV, Top Gear (motoring programme): Why has last fall (Autumn in British English) been so rainy and miserable in England ? That's because there's more and more people driving hybrids: they're too efficient, hence they release less heat into the environment, making the British climate even colder and rainier (if that's at all possible). So beware: Being energy efficient will eventually get you drowned !!!
it's funny, because i'm really appreciating the florida like winters here in new england. i might have to trade for a land rover diesel.
I am surprised that they had a moment of straight humor concerning hybrids. From watching Top Gear, their measure of a car is how it performs on a race track, so hybrids tend to be a target of ridicule. (BTW, the term "Autumn" is commonly used on this side of the pond, along with "Fall".)
