I only have mp3s on my usb. A total of about 20 songs. Why does the car skip and not play about 5 of them? They are identical as the rest, all mp3s. Its the same five.
How is your file system set up? I posted elsewhere about my experiences. Organizing MP3s on a Flash Drive | PriusChat You can have folders...even nested folders, but I found it easy to not overdo it. Folders make effective "playlists" for the system to recognize. Each folder will only hold about 255 files, so keep it to under 250 to be safe. Since you only have about 20 files, I'd not see that as your problem. Do all the MP3s play fine on an MP3 player (non-computer)? Does the USB drive have anything other than MP3 files on it? Also, I find it best to erase a USB completely and copy all media files to it at the same time so date/time stamps don't bugger how the system orders your files. You could try copying everything off the USB drive, format it, then copy only the MP3 files to it and see if it works. If your files are legit, they should work. If not, something is wrong with your MP3 files.
Wow thanks. I will try to clean the usb completely as I have a pdf and word file I think on it. The songs all play fine in the computer.
