i have a 2007 prius i parked it for 4 months and when i came back it wont start and theres a big red triangle and say 2007 prius transmission problem p lock mechanism if someone could help and yes i have replaced the small auxilary battery brand new but having the same problem wont start
the main battery like as in the hybrid battery ? i havent connected the small battery ive disconnected it do u think if i leave it on for a day it would charge the main battery
Yes the hybrid battery. Unfortunately, leaving new Aux battery connected will never charge up the hybrid battery. As far as I recall, Toyota suggest 2 months without starting is enough to deplete the hybrid battery.
Measure the voltage of the new 12V battery when the car is IG-OFF, and post. Make sure the connections are tight, including the negative battery cable where it bolts to the body.
i had one cell weak before so i had to replace one cell in the hybrid battery and then worked fine still the same problem dont know what to do and its parked in my garage and the car wont move as its in parking gear
the battery is good check the volts its showing aroung 12.6 and the terminals are good tight but still its acting up giving me the same problem these cars are so complicated
Time then, to tow your car to your local Toyota dealer for help. Or obtain Mini VCI and obtain the DTC that have been logged, maybe that will provide a clue about what is wrong.
