We are selling our 2006 Prius. 99,800 miles. Purchased new from Peruzzi Toyota in August, 2006. All recalls performed. Overly maintained. Great tires. Clean - never smoked in and we don't have kids, so it stays clean in side. Outside excellent, though a couple of dings from years of use. Clean carfax in hand. I guess since Pa. joined CARB in 2008 that the standard 8yr/100k mile warranty applies. Pa. is also "standard" CARB which means battery is not covered to 10-yr/150k miles. (Interesting hypothetical question for a later model would be if the extended CARB warranty applies in the case of a sale over Pa. state boundary to NY, MD, or NJ?)
Yes, my understanding is that the CARB warranty has just expired, as it's 8 years old. But it's been run in the Northern part of the country and garage-kept, so I think that all helps battery longevity? I don't think it'll be an issue, at least for a while. iPad ?
looks like you've got a nice solid car there for someone. you can't put a value on one owner and documented maintenance.i don't know the kbb in your area, but i wouldn't budge much from that price, it should go quickly. probably a $12,000. car at a dealer.
Thanks Bisco. Yes, I think it'll be a good deal for someone, and a great car. I'm hoping to find the right person who will take care of it well.
Bump. Price lowered to $8900 or best offer. Motivated seller, as we have replaced the car. I'm surprised by the lack of interest - now listed on craigslist and autotrader. Perhaps gas is too cheap right now?
There are a lot of lease returns (2011-2012) with pretty low mileage and relatively attractive prices. Your car sounds like a gem, but people (well me...) may prefer to spend $8500-9500 on a 2008 or 2009 with 20-30k more miles and a few blemishes. Good luck!
