I want tot replace the interior bulbs of my 2014 Prius c two with LED'S. Presently not bright enough. Any suggestions and where to purchase appreciated. patm
ebay will be your best friend. or amazon. the map lights use a t10 bulb base. you will need 2 bulbs since the map light has 2 bulbs.
After trying several brands, lumen, and websites I have replaced my map lights, front and rear parking lights, trunk light, and license plate lights with these: I could not be happier. These are very bright and a true white color without any hint of blue, and they are well made.
I bought a total of 12 just to have some extras, but you will need at least 9 if you want to do all the ones I mentioned. It is expensive and there less expensive options, but for me it is definitely worth it.
I followed instruction from My Prius C HID and LED installation adventure thread!! (lots of Pics!) | PriusChat to change mine.
I bought these: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0047RV8WG/ The supplier changes frequently so you might get something from a different manufacturer with the same specs.
The description for that product seems unclear as to how many LEDs per bulb. Can you share if there are 3, 5, or 15? Also, can I assume that there is a cover over the LEDs of some sort? A lens or just a clear covering? Thanks.
Now I get it. The chip used is a "5050 3". Odd naming convention, but quite clear once I got that. Thanks.
