Cargo liners

I purchased this product as well as the 4 floor mats sold by the same company. Everything fits quite nicely and have a lip design to capture liquids etc.

The only problem with the two front mats is that they don't extend far enough up on the floorboard, however, the cargo mat fits perfectly.

PS: The wait time was kind of long. The product is made in Germany and they were out of stock at the time of order.

 

How is the material it is constructed out of? It doesn't look quite as nice as the Weathertech. I had the Weathertech in another car and liked it a lot, but $109 is kind of steep so I too am looking for alternatives.

 

The material is a rubber material with a pattern embossed over the entire mat. I have had it about 6 months and it seems to be holding up well.

 

Thanks mkaliski. I was also wondering if you compared the two mats in person at all. I really like the Weathertech but would definitely go for an alternative if the quality of the mat was near. I just can't tell from the online picture, though it sounds like you like yours.

 

Here is a great price on Weathertech... but this one is "universal fit?" Tough to tell from the description, but it must be "universal" because of the price, yes?

The German-made one looks great - can even get grey without paying extra... and shipping is included. Nice.

 

I was not aware of this product and had a local auto upholstery shop cut heavy rubber mat material to fit. Works great. If you are not sure of the quality of this product, and you go the route I did, you can select the type of rubber.

Orders this product on Thursday, and it showed up on Friday. Ordered from mats4less.com. $75 plus S/H. Fits very well, and look like it should hold up to a lot of use.

It irritates me to have to buy this. Our 96 Outback came with one. The cars cost about the same, but no mat with the Prius. Of course the Outback only gets 18 mpg. I carried my bike just once in the Prius, and got scuffs on the carper, even with towels covering it. I need a mat, this looks as good as any.

Mine only took one week to get here to the day of the order on-line. The only weird thing is that the flap supposed to allow access to the utility nook in the rear left by the tire well is molded to fold on the right side. Anyone figure out why this is? Do the Priuses in Japan or Europe have it on the other side and perhaps the cargo mat originally designed for those? I thought about folding the lip back the other way perhaps so the flap is on the right side.

 

No idea why that odd foldy thing is on the wrong side. It is a bugger to fold up anyway - mine keeps getting caught on the plastic bulb access plates. But... and it is a big BUT, I Love this mat. Any good-fitting mat would be good, but I have the Carbox on, so that's the one I love.

I've just coming to the end of three weeks of camping/traveling, and this cargo mat has just been fantastic.

 

Can anyone recommend a cargo liner that ideally covers the sides of the hatch as well as the bottom, and fits the area with both back seats down? I've looked for this on line, but everything I've found seems to cover only the floor of the compartment (but with a small lip) with the seat up (not down). Also, do I need to find one specific to 2007? Are the dimensions for 2004 - 2007 exactly the same?

I'd like to throw a couple of bikes back there and anticipate need for this. Also, does anyone know whether, with both back seats down, there's enough room for two road bikes without taking off one or both wheels of either bike?

Thanks for any advice on this. Only had the car for a month, but all's well so far.

 

I'd like something that covers the cargo area and the seats folded down and the sides of the doors. That would be perfect for dogs, but everything I've seen only covers the back of the seats and/or the cargo area but nothing protects the doors.
