I figure I'd add my mount.

There's a flat spot next to the drivers knee on the instrument panel that I suctioned on to...

A lot of folks say they get wrong directions, etc. I'll be using mine on Tuesday for a 6,500 mile trip, but I'll also have a Garmin Nuvi going too (silent) just in case. I'm going to document any serious differences and post my experiences after we get home on Oct 1. Being used to Garmin, it took me some time to figure out the Toyota way of doing things, but I think we're going to be okay.

I wanted to keep it simple - and use Torque Pro. Phone and USB charger attached with hook & loop tape (Velcro).

The phone hits your face at a speed of between 60 and 180 MPH:

    Bits of Knowledge
The airbags expand at the same speed as the Shinkansen Bullet Train!
The airbags deploy at speeds of 100 to 300 km/h, the latter of which being the highest speed of the Shinkansen Bullet Train.

Car Charging Mount Holder by Sinjimoru

I wanted to post this a couple of weeks ago, but I have been traveling...
This mount is perfect for me. I have a good view of the phone. The phone plugs in and charges.
The mount will fit my note 3 and my droid for charging without any modifications.
You can easily pull out the charging plug to fit any phone in the mount.
The mount is small, so if there is not a phone in it , it does not take up a lot of real estate.
It mount with a small pad of 3M double sided tape, which is very strong. It will mount in a location with ~1 square inch of flat(ish) surface.
In the location have it mounted, it does not impeded my vision in any way, and does not get in the way of my passenger's knees or my cup holders.
It is perfectly in reach of my right hand.

This cheap solution worked great for me! (Post #15 on first page)

anyone used cd slot phone mount on their prius? | PriusChat

You don't have to add any bulky nonsense to your phone, no sticker residue to cleanup, or need to make any permanent changes to anything. Keeps the phone out of the way of vents and radio/nav controls. I think it's perfect.
