Dear PriusChat Colleagues: Again this year, Evan Fusco and I invite you to join us in the PriusChat Fantasy Football League. We have been doing this league for several years now and its always been a lot of fun (except last year when my team tanked). Several members of our community will be back this year including member CPSDarren who is convinced (again) that this is his year. We need 4 or more new players as a 12 or 14 team league is more fun so we have room for you to join us. We have set up a free (but custom) NFL league. You will need to register with NFL.com if you are not already a member. Its free and easy to do. You just need to create a name for your team and the system will get you started. There are no fees nor monies (I love using that word as it drives my teenage son crazy) involved but I have been known to reward the winner with some prize at the end (unless its Evan, 'cause that just ain’t happening). Just to add that all are welcome- no experience necessary! We run an automatic draft, so it's not like these weekend draft parties where you have to research for weeks and then sit in a cigar smoke-filled room for 2 days in order to fill your team;-) Beginners are welcome and there is no effort involved to field a respectable team. It is mostly luck in draft order, draft picks and injuries that separates the best from the worst. The only requirements are that you enjoy the NFL and that you spend the minimum of 5-10 minutes every week to make sure that you don't have any inactive/injured players on your active team. It only takes a few minutes to substitute in players which is necessary to be competitive so that it is fair to all the other teams. You can even do it from your iphone or android phone on the nfl fantasy app. Those who really like football can spend more time doing trades, waiver wire swaps, draft tweaks and stuff. Some people have good success with those, others not so much. Ahem. Don't bring shame upon an auto forum My forum on carseats and child passenger safety has two leagues this year with 22 players. The 20 women in the league have dominated the championship games over the years. Certainly we can find a few more NFL fans to fill the league out again this year at PriusChat!

Yes, very much looking forward to this year. Darren, those are impressive numbers. At my old auto forum we struggled for people too. Certainly there are a few more Prius owners that appreciate a bit of fantasy football?
We are coming down to the wire. Draft day is September 1 (could be anytime that day). We have three or 4 open slots but can make more (or less if need be). I've posted notices in 3 of the main forums as sitting here in FHP is not getting us much attention. Please signup and pick a slot ASAP. On August 31 I will truncate the league size to the available players. Looking forward to real football soon!
