JDM (Japanese Domestic Model) cars use KMs instead of Miles, I am converting KMs to Miles by dividing them by 1.6, so that everyone can understand the numbers easily.

Yes I was getting 60 + MPG not only due to the reason that I am light foot driver, always concious of the info on MFD, but also because my daily office run is almost signal free, where I drive at optimum speed (35- 55 MPH)

Thanks, your inputs are really helpful, I will be going to see an expert in a few days. Will have the charging/ discharging cycles checked.

Turns out the investor motor water pump was dying - causing low water flow and and heating up of the investor motor too often so the ECU was shifting to the gas engine.
Got it replaced and now back to the normal fuel average.
Thanks every one for your support.

    Hi.

    1) Was your Prius showing any warning lights in the dashboard during this time? check yellow engine light? OR red triangle light?

    2) Was your engine starting alot (more than usual) at traffic lights, going down hill and when foot is off the throttle?
