Hello everyone. I got rid of my nissan leaf and picked up this 2014 Blizzard Pearl Prius Five last week. First thing I did was google prius chat forum and found this forum with a ton of information. I have spent the last week on here reading posts and finally decided to join. My first upgrade... window tint. Yes I know it's dark but they don't mess with us in TN and it was free.
Congratulations on the new wheels, and also on joining PriusChat! …very smart move, and will pay dividends in the amount of stuff you'll learn about your new Prius!
Beautiful car. I traded my 2012 with the sun roof in on my five and been happy ever since. They look so different with 17" wheels. Welcome to the chat.
Just upgraded from a 2010 as the other was totaled The tint is under 25% in the front and 5% in the back. The AC was not able to keep up without it! I do miss the moonroof and recirculating fan...
This is my baby, Lily (). She is a new 2013 (bought last month), Prius 4 Solar. She's been upgraded with Euro mud flaps, tinted windows, and body wrap. She's averaging 55-65 mpg on my 100-mile RT commute to DC from the burbs. I hope we have a very long and loving relationship.
How much of a hassle did you encounter to get your Plug-In Prius? Did you get it from California or within Arizona? Which dealership?
We are a three Prius family! My husband got his last week and a couple of days later my son bought his and today I bought mine!! My photo is above! Here is my husbands!
The Misty Gray is what we have in our Prius although we actually liked the Bisque more, but a vehicle wasn't available so equipped at the time.
I could only find 2 in AZ, so bought it in California. It was not a hassle at all. I did call several dealerships until I found the color I wanted. Flew over and drove back. They handled everything. Although it looks like Diane has the largest inventory, so probably should have called her. If you do not want to buy a car in CA. Call Toyota of Surprise. They are owned by Penske and have dealerships with PIP. They should be able to ship one to their dealership in AZ. Let me know if you have questions and I would be glad to help
Thanks for the information, unfortunately, it's too late for us now. We originally wanted a PIP but could NOT locate any available in AZ, so we "settled" for a Prius-4.
Hello, fellow Prius People! Prius n00b here. Two weeks ago today we traded in my husband's 2003 BMW 325x for a brand-spankin' new 2014 Prius III with the solar panel roof, and we couldn't be happier. While we miss the Beemer's peppiness, we sure don't miss the repair bills and the dismal 21.5 MPGs we were getting (my husband is a property manager and can easily drive 200 miles in a day). While he gets to drive it most days, I get my Prius time on days he doesn't have appointments (our other car is a 2003 4Runner) and I just love it. I wish we had the money to buy another one and leave the 4Runner for hauling stuff and roadtrips with the dogs! Anyway, this is our Rojo. Living in Vegas, the solar ventilation system has been a godsend! So far we're getting 47 MPGs, with mostly city driving and the AC on. I'm looking forward to seeing that number hit 50!
Just bought this 2012 Prius Two. It's our first Prius and probably not our last! I remember seeing a Word document that was sort of a fan-created manual for the Prius... anyone have a link? Thanks!
Here I am, proud owner of a brand new (2014) Prius Two! Love the color (Sea Glass Pearl) and the dark gray interior.
