Has anyone seen the colors to compare the Barcelona Red to the old Salsa Red. We have a 2006 on order and just wonder if anyone can point us to a place to see it? Presumably it will have to be on the Toyota Japan web pages, but since I don't read Japanese, I am hoping for some help.
Try this link. Just click on the color to see what the car looks like: http://toyota.jp/prius/exterior/bodycolor/index.html
I really like the rims shown on the pictures 195/55 r16. Does anyone know if they are available in the US?
Unfortunately the color representation of both Barcelona Red 3R3 and blue 8M6 are not very accurate. Barcelona red is not at all as red as it looks here. My dealer showed me a color sample - just ask your dealer for one. Henrik
This is the only site I"ve seen that has both colors at once to compare.. I don't know how accurate they are: http://fleet.toyota.com/html/documents/MY_...Color_Chart.pdf
barcelona looks great compared to salsa... much richer and brighter... Im sure they are going to look waaaay different in person with the metallic sheen added in... cant wait
posted by patience in another post: http://www.toyota.com/images/vehicles/futu...v4/ravflyer.pdf http://pressroom.toyota.com/Images/View?id=TYT2005110277670 http://pressroom.toyota.com/Images/View?id=TYT2005110251223
Is it just my screen/pc or is the Barcelona Red color of the RAV 4 in the photo on: http://pressroom.toyota.com/Images/View?id=TYT2005110277670 different to the Barcelona Red color displayed on the Prius Japan site: http://toyota.jp/prius/exterior/bodycolor/index.html? which is quite similar to the color on the Toyota chart at: http://fleet.toyota.com/html/documents/MY_...Color_Chart.pdf
This has been covered some here: http://priuschat.com/index.php?showtopic=13105&hl= From seeing it at a dealeship, I can tell you it looks nothing like the RAV in the picture. The RAV looks a lot more cherry than the red of Barcelona Red. Also, in the color chart, Salsa Red and Barcelona Red look quite close, if not similar, but standing next to each other - they're night and day. Salsa is more of a Maroon and has what looks like a lot more of a matte finish, while Barcelona is very shiny (the metallic part?) with gold specks in the paint.
I saw a Barcelona Red the other day, right next to my Salsa Red. In the same light, it was a much Brighter Red. My car looked burgundy, the Barcelona looked like "Standing still and get a ticket" red. But I could also see that it will color shift, just as the Salsa does. So how red it looks any particular day will very. On the day I saw it, it looked bright. B) Lisa
here is the comparison salsa and barcelona http://priuschat.com/2005-Salsa-and-2006-B...ona-t17472.html
I also have a salsa and passed by a barcelona today...seems much more cranberry red. I happen to like the way salsa looks on the car better, but hey, I may be a bit prejudiced...both colors are nice.
