I'm looking to install this strut bar but can't find the torque specs for the nuts on the tower...any advice is greatly appreciated.
M10x1.25 J.I.S. flange nuts with 14mm hex. Torque to 38 ft. lbs. Bolts are weaker 8.8 DIN with multiple washers. I replaced them with 10.9 J.I.S. flange bolts and nuts.
I have a Cusco strut tower bar and down below that a Cusco front lower bar. Together they really tighten up the steering feel. BTW, I'm getting the Tanabe front sway bar. It's 20 mm rather than the thicker Cusco sway bar B/C I want a bit more compliance than the stiffer Cusco bar. See all my mods just posted here today. NOTE: I recently had the Tanabe front sway bar installed. It definitely helps the v corner flatter and also gets rid of most of the front suspension "bounce" I got from installing Tanabe lowering springs which overpowered my OEM shocks a bit on small bumps. I got the Tanabe sway her B/C it is a slightly smaller diameter than the Cusco bar and is consequently, according to the tech at Juiced Hybrid, a bit softer than the Cusco bar, whiz what I wanted for a tight but not harsh ride. So now I have: 1. 3 underbody braces 2. strut tower brace 3. front sway bar 4. lowering springs 5. 17" ENKIE RPF 1 wheels W/ 215/50/17 Yokohama 580 V-rated tires All this REALLY improves the v's handling. It is no longer a "dishrag" in fast handling situations.
