2008 non JBL base OEM stereo not working! please help!

Ok yesterday I got in my car turned on the radio and there's no sound. All of the controls are responding I see the volume go up and down on the MFD I can seek tracks on the FM dial and receive FM data about the stations but no sound from the speakers. All of the other car sounds are working MFD beeps reverse and seat belt warnings. Its my understanding that the base OEM head unit has an internal amplifier so is my head unit dead or is there a fuse or something I am missing. Any help is appreciated driving all day with no tunes is driving me batty. Thanks

 

disregard, it seems the 30amp "amp" fuse wasn't blown but the contacts were corroded a few scuffs with some sandpaper and all is fine with the audio now.
