Straight from Toyota, we have information about the 2015 Prius Persona. It looks like they've gotten rid of the Black Cherry color, so the Persona is only available in Blizzard Pearl and Absolutely Red (first time this color has been on a Prius). They've also added side mirror turn signal indicators - something that is standard on the Prius in Europe and Japan.
Loved the Persona edition, and the Black Cherry was what drew me to it. The only thing I didn't like was the ride and handling of the low profile tires.
I hate low profile tires. They have a rough ride and they get easily destroyed when you run up on a curb. But then I prefer SUV hybrids.
I agree re: low profile tires. my fully loaded Prius came with 17" wheels and pzero nero tires. The ride was horrible. I switched to 15" 'balloon tires" and have been happy ever since.
I have a 2012 Prius 5 (not V) with ATP, in Blizzard Pearl. Looking at the pictures I don't really see much of a difference at all, other than the exact same wheels I have but in a slightly darker color, oooh, and a Persona badge. This reminds me of what Lexus has done with some of their cars that were in their last year - a few cosmetic changes that cost little or nothing to provide. I do like the idea of the turning signals in the mirrors (no real cost here either since they already come on the European and Japanese cars).
But the interior is softex which matters to me. That is the least toxic interior made. I have a 2011 Absolutely Red Prius Two with only 17K miles on it. So already I'm crunching numbers.....
