I have a 2010 package v, with led headlights. I know leds have had huge improvements over the past couple of years so surely their have to be better led lights available compared to the 2010 lights. Are their better led lights that would be plug and play with factory led headlight housings? If so, how much better? I'm not planning any crazy experiments in the near future but just curious.
Just curious if their are improvements. Besides, you can never have too much light (as long as you have projectors with cut-offs to not blind other cars).
are you having a problem seeing with the LED lights now? They are bright enough to light up the entire highway, and if you use your fog lights too, the car next to you can see even if they turn their lights out......that's a lot of light. Can't say there would be a need for any further improvements.
Federal regulations set forward the maximum output allowed for any street legal headlamp, LED or otherwise.
Ha, tell that to the countless goons with those crappy aftermarket HID kits that they stick in their Civics without projector lenses...
Over here Tacomas are much more prevalent and the lights are mounted higher up. Just perfect for making maximum glare. SCH-I535
There is some improvement. 2010-2011 use 3 LEDs per headlight. 2012-up use only 2 LEDs per headlight. There's no plug and play but if you're willing to take the headlight assembly apart, I'm sure you can replace the stock LEDs with some high power CREE LEDs. Since you're not replacing the lens, you'll have the cut off to reduce the glare.
