My wife crashed our 2013 Prius C with less than 4000 miles on it. Went of the road and down an embankment full of trees. Only about a 20 mph crash but the car is totaled. Car did it's job as she only had a cut on her head. All the doors were jammed and car ended up on the drivers side. Picture is attached with my Smart in the Background
Good thing she crashed the c and not the Smart car! Glad to hear she's ok. Material things can be replaced, lives can't. SCH-I535
Given modern construction cars often look horrible after collisions. It's when you see a car from before the early '90s look that way you need to really really be concerned for the people inside. OP, glad she's doing okay.
Wth happened is right, driver error? Someone hit her?? Appears to have slid on hood roof?? Will you be selling any parts off this total?
Glad to hear she escaped unharmed. Doesn't look to bad when you consider an embankment full of trees. Hope it all turns out ok for you guys.

That was my first thought. If she was only driving 20mph, then that tree must have been moving awfully fast... lol.
She was only going 20 but panic set in and she either did not hit the brakes or maybe even hit the gas - she does not remember. She had just came around a very sharp corner and dropped the right front off the pavement. This pulled the car into the small trees. One impact was in the center the front bumper shown beside the car. It is bout a 45 degree drop and the a=car tuned on drivers side as it went down the hill. Some trees hit the roof. All the doors were jammed and they took her out the windshield. Wiper was stuck in glass when they pushed it back in or towing. Thank GOD she wasn't hurt worse. Her memory and balance are coming back slowly. I am glad she wasn't in my Smart in the background with the plastic roof. Thanks to everyone who expressed concern or her.
This reminds a similar thread on RAV4 forum with pictures of brand new RAV4 that was driven by a teenager and went off road in perfect weather and got totaled. I asked the poster (the dad) if she was texting. No, he said, I'm positive as I was talking to her on her cell phone when that happened. LOL! People have to pay attention while driving. this can be a deadly matter.
