I might be buying a wrecked 2002 Prius w/ 180k/mi back from insurance to get the traction battery for another car. The car is dark green / gray interior. It took a hit on the left front headlight that took out bumper, fender, hood, etc. Other than that car was running great. Only issue was catalytic converter - P0420. If anyone is interested in parts let me know - especially near Portland area.
I live near Salem. I wish you were needing a Gen II battery. I will keep you in mind re: your (possibly forthcoming) 2002. Good luck! If anyone can use a Gen II traction battery, I'm here.
Gen2 battery cells might be a possible way to go, what is battery worth to you? I would still need to find a few more cells (can't remember how many) to make a complete pack for the Gen1. I was kind of hoping for plug & play since car I am thinking of buying is a 3hour drive from home so I thought I might just swap the battery out, clear codes and drive it home (optomisticlly of course).
LOL Good luck on the optimism. I can't think of too many places 3hrs from pdx where you would want Murphy's law to kick-in! Long story on my battery . . . . I've already done the rehab on it--gen 3 replacement modules, etc. . . . so because of the money I have in it I think I'll have to find a retail buyer for it now.
I'm trying to find a replacement Compressor Lock Sensor for my 2002. It's just a dumb little part, but it isn't sold separate from the A/C compressor. I'm several states away (Wisconsin), but if you were willing to mail it or put it on eBay I'd be happy to pay a fair price. The sensor has a small pocket of compressed gas behind it, so use caution if you end up removing it!
