Oh boy. Didn't expect to come home with this beauty!! I was leasing a 2012 Prius c. Loved the car, but I was getting tired of having something so small. I used to work in an area where parking was tough so I needed it! Now I don't, so with a year left on my lease I thought I would see if I could get out of it early and lower my payments. I didn't want to leave the Prius family, so I thought I would give the regular Prius a shot, but considered other cars too. HOWEVER, they were offering deals on the 2014 Plug-Ins so I test drove one. I almost left twice before they offered me a deal (I basically said each time: "dude, I'm a teacher, can't afford that. Bye!") I really couldn't walk away from. I still can't believe I left with my Sea Glass Pearl Prius Plug-In! I even got the one with the molding on the side I'm paying less for this than I was my c and less than I would a liftback! I'm having fun with this car. They have a charging station at my summer job that nobody uses so I get the area to myself! I just have to figure out where to charge this baby once the school year starts up again. I do miss my Blue Streak Metallic Prius c. I had fun zipping around in that thing, but I love having a bit of a bigger car now. My mother really likes my car (she has a 2012 RAV right now) and I know her lease is going to be up in the coming months. She drove mine, saw the difference in MPG and is now considering a Plug-In. She's coming to the dark side, I think 8D
Great story! Congratulations for considering a PiP and kudos for the dealer to actually make it happen. This kind of story needs to happen more often... Public charging stations are beginning to pop up more and more in the East, perhaps your school would consider getting on the band wagon and install a L2 station for teacher parking. No harm in inquiring. You got a great color, but then I'm biased.
Great Car! Nice deal! Super Nice COLOR!!!!!!! If I can say so.........Oh! I did say so, very nice color. Enjoy your new car!
Welcome and enjoy your new PiP! Don't forget to check out the FAQ. Excellent source from excellent people, if I do say so myself.
