Well I just took delivery on my new 2014 prius (well my dads but I get to drive it whenever I need it). I got a great deal on a trim level 2 with dealer installed tint and a lojack system. It is winter gray. I do have one question, when I first opened the glove box I found a small back with 2 rubber plugs, it says on the bag: To Pree-delivery inspector: Insert these plugs into the holes of the center side member extensions. Does any one know what these are and where the belong?
Plug "center floor side member extensions" into the search box and you'll find a number of explanatory threads, including this one.
Overall I am happy with it. It will see alot of miles, probably over 30k over the first year. This was the main reason we ruled out a used one, it just wasnt worth it when we are planning on putting as many miles on it as we can ( and it will pretty much pay for itselft before the car payments are done with). Overall this is our 12th Toyota that we've owned and expect nothing but the best from it.
Hello everybody, I gotta be honest. I never envisioned myself owning a prius. I'm a did hard American muscle fan. However, when my job began requiring me to commute 150 miles round trip a day, my Chevy crew cab one ton dually and its 10 mpg began to look less and less appealing. I was in the market for an early 2000's 4 banger when my friend offered up his 2005 prius for $1500. It needs a skid control ecu which is spendy but still well worth the fix considering all the new equipment, including new battery pack . This ecu is a bear to get to but I have no doubts this car will be a great little car for many Years.
