Just want an opinion on whether or not these options on a Four are recommended yes or no (and the reason behind them):

    1) Moonroof?
    2) 16-inch alloy wheels (vs stock 15-inch alloy wheels)

FYI, I'm in the San Diego area.

they are recommended if you like them... if you don't like them, they are not recommended...

I have the moonroof on my Three and hardly ever use it. I did get the 15" alloys (an option on the Three) and like them; I'd stay with these on the Four instead of going to the 16", which reduce MPG and force a wider turning circle.

I have a C4 with 15-inch and love the turning radius. Refreshing change from my MINI which had 17s. I've read broadly that the 16s reduce it and fuel economy. I do like the look better on the 16s but for me it wasn't worth the trade-off.

You also get the heated seats, heated power outside mirrors, softex leather seats also.

I do like it more then the 1,2 and 3 because of those options.

I have moonroof and 15". +1 on the turning raduis (parking is SO much easier) and I like the moonroof, especially if I can't park in a covered area and want to vent heat as quickly as possible!

Softex seats, heated power mirrors and seats, foglights and the Nav system - never had them before but can't live without them now!

I have both but in Canada they are not options. They are included in the tech plus package (kind of like a USA C4 with benefits). I like them both

I avoided the 16" wheels for the turning radius as well, it increases your turning radius from 31.4 to 37.4 feet. That six feet makes a big difference in maneuverability. They sure look nice though.

    1. I would've liked/used a moonroof, but meh. Not as useful in Northeast Ohio. If you like the idea of a sunroof, picture yourself using it, and especially since you live in CA, I'd say go for it.
    2. Wouldn't recommend. Fairly large mpg loss.

I have the moonroof with 15" alloys.

I open the moonroof as much as possible!

I love the turning radius with the 15's. I cut off many a huge truck in NYC Holland Tunnel traffic with them :sneaky:

A moonroof is a personal preference. I would take it because I like moonroofs (and on the c, it has a one touch open/close feature).

I'd avoid the 16". They look really nice but the turning radius is atrocious for a small car. The steering wheel ratio is quicker... maybe too quick (probably doesn't help that the wheels have limited range with the 16"). Because of that, I'd stick with the 15". They still look decent and tyres are cheaper to replace!

A moonroof is your choice. The one I've seen didn't leak and was easy to operate.
16" wheels are advantagxeous if you want lower profile wider performance tires. Otherwise the 15" wheels are as good as any and you can get just as high performance tires or harder, long wearing tread tires asa good nice person the 16's. Some like the low profile 16" tires for the 'look'.

I agree, the moonroof is totally preference. The sixteen's weren't available in my location without ordering and for the price I would have found some much nicer ones anyways. I came from 19's on my last car and I can say that I don't miss cleaning them or the extra cost for tires...however with the C the price difference is pretty much null between the two sizes from what I've seen. I actually like the look of the 15's and think they look fairly nice on the car.

I personally would get the moonroof especially living in socal. As far as the 16 in vs 15 in alloys, depends on how much more the option is. If it's a substantial amount, just get the 15 in and buy aftermarket 16s. This way you have a back up pair of wheels/tires, or you can sell em to a C1/C2 driver to make some of your money back. I personally would stick to stock 15 in.

I had mixed feelings about the moonroof; I wasn't sure if I would use it much. However, I got it and I'm glad I did. There is a nice thread about this on the forums if you're still undecided.
I specifically didn't want the 16" wheels for all the reasons mentioned here.

I've seen a few posts (including this one above) about the Four with the moonroof and standard 15 inches wheels.

That's what I wanted to get, but was told by a dealer that it was not possible.

Emailed toyota (USA) and they confirmed that I can get the moonroof on Four with the 16 inches wheels ONLY.

How were you able to get the Four with moonroof AND 15 inches wheels?

Prestidigitation! Just got lucky. Mine doesn't have a moonroof or the 16 inch wheels.
