My new to me 2011 Prius 4. Certified pre-owned in excellent condition with 18,900 miles. Solar Moonroof. Leather. Nav. Etc. Wanted an '11 or '12 for the leather. Ditched the hubcaps based on the great info found in this community. Thanks!
Hi Fore, Don't mind at all. $24k. This was my absolute limit. I wanted leather, the solar roof, and other goodies too. - learnmedia
Nice looking car. You should get many trouble free years of service out of it Welcome to the board. Great choice.
Congrats on the new car! What's this about ditching hubcaps? I've been wondering why Toyota put cheesy plastic covers on nice alloy wheels, and was thinking of removing mine. Is there any rusty center hub showing if you do that?
Thanks tpenny67! Yep, I believe the hubcaps were for possible mpg savings. But there's some decent alloy wheels beneath them on the Gen III Prius. Toyota painted them black starting with the 2012 model. There's just an unsightly hole that needs filling. You can do so on the cheap and cheaper. Or get OEM ones.

Nice wheels. Does anyone know why Toyota covers a nice looking alloy wheel with a plastic wheel cover?
