Hi all! Sorry if this has been covered elsewhere, but I have a simple question. Driving to Montréal next Thursday for vacation and just wondering if the GPS will still work once I cross into Canada. I imagine the answer is yes, but not sure. Thanks! Chris iPhone ?
You could also just set Montreal as the destination right now and let the nav system route it, then go into Options and view either the overview map or the detailed route list. The actual operation of the GPS system is the same worldwide - I've used my TomTom in the USA, Canada, and Europe.
Great idea, don't know why I didn't think of that before! Simple solution. Thanks again. Chris iPhone ?
A few tips: When searching for POIs in Canada, remember to change your "Search Area" (bottom of the screen) before looking up a POI otherwise you won't be able to find anything in Montréal (if that's the case in the 6.1" Display Audio w/ Nav units. I know I have to do it on my 7" version) In the Island of Montréal, you cannot turn right on a red light (there'll be signs reminding you of that when you enter the island, but just in case you miss them...) If you decide to walk around, be extra cautious of traffic.
