Congratulations! On the moon roof, why do some call it a moon roof and others call it a sun roof? Night people vs. Day people?
This is a fine car!! I just bought a 2012, but having problems. Going up hills the car revs but does not accelerate when I push on the gas; bigger the hill, the worse this problems. It was suggested this is a transmission problem. The car was used, 20,000 miles on it, not certified, private seller. What kind of transmission problem? Really slows me down; not just hills however. Any thoughts?
Did you put it in Power Mode when you went up the hills? If you did not, then that may be your problem.
Congrats! That's the best color, too! same one I have You'll do better with a rolling start on hills. The ICE needs to kick in vs the battery. I like the power mode in a lot of situations and this may help as someone else suggested.
Like Robertk328 suggests, get a rolling start on hills. When you see a large hill ahead of you, go down the dips fast in preparation to go up the hill. Then as you get up the hill a ways, when you begin to start slowing down, put it in Power mode to get on up the hill. That's what I do. Maybe someone else has a suggestion for you.
Its a Prius, not a BMW, can't expect it to climb hills the same way. I take my time up hills, don't ever exceed 3,000 RPM. Its a different way to drive.
Congrats! I have the same car. I call it a sun roof. I was under the impression that moon roofs are just glass and do not open while sun roofs open.
