My front bumper cover was cracked by a fool with a hitch...I'd like to order a replacement to do this myself. Two questions... Can anyone point me to a service sheet for removing what I assume will be a bunch of bolts and snaps? How difficult would those that have done this estimate the work to be? Thanks, JMG
Search for Prius bumper cover painted on ebay...there are several. Starting at $263 plus $75 to ship. I figure that's a better deal than $1000 for the shop.
I believe this thread has some good pics of the process: Will the new 2012 front bumper fit on a 2011? | Page 3 | PriusChat SCH-I535
Thanks...I checked out that thread but I did not see a link for the removal process. I hate cross posting so I think I will PM the guys that did the conversion.
Ok, there is a download in first post of this thread. Removal of the bumper cover starts at page 2 of the procedure: Prius 2012+ Fog light diagram/schematics? | PriusChat SCH-I535
How embarrassing for me...I didn't think to look thru a fog light schema since I didn't remove mine cap to install mine. Thanks for pointing that out, guess its high time I ordered a cap.
The Grillcraft thread has some info as well, as does the grillcraft.com website. Here's the link to the 2011 with pics.
The front spoiler on my Corolla was broken, and I got someone to fix it up just like new for less than $100. He said all he needed was some "special" cement, some reinforcement underneath, and a bit of touch-up paint. Looks great.
