BUYER BEWARE- There is a company called CARWORX in Florida. Also know as the Hybridbattery experts. I was driving my 06 prius in Atlanta. The triangle of death came on and lost all power. I have a 167,000 with the original main battery so i was almost sure it was that. So i had it towed and and didnt some research. Came across the ad on Ebay and craigslist for a refurbished battery for 1100 with unlimited miles and a 18 month warranty. Looked and could not find any negative feedback. So i called them gave them a credit card number and they charged me 1100. This was on a Monday he told me it would be compleated on Wednesday. Then wednesday came and it would be Thursday. Then Thursday came and finally was compleated on Friday. Picked up the car Friday. I drive for Uber and Lyft. At first the car seemed fine. Drove it for 4 hours then with customers in the car the triangle of death came back on with check engine light. Called them and told them what was going on they told me to reset the battery with the negative terminal. Well its a temporary fix. So once again without a car. So please Beware !!!

It could also be the small 12v battery. When the 12v starts to fail odd things happen but I have never heard of total power loss

The 12 volt is fine. I want to warn others about this company that takes your money and does not fix your Hybrid Battery.

And I think you are jumping the gun here......or at least have not provided enough information to us.

How do you KNOW that the 12 V battery "is fine" ??
How do you KNOW that something else hasn't gone wrong ??
At 167,000 miles, that can happen, you know.

AND......what about the initial analysis ?
Did you actually have the HV battery tested before it was replaced ?
And did anybody pull the codes to look for other things that might be wrong ??

AND.....have you taken it back to them yet to have it tested ??

At this point, I want to warn others reading this against taking it at face value just yet.
There might be more to the story; maybe much more.
Or the company might just be completely incompetent.
Hard to tell at this point.

Maybe you should be spending your time trying to get the problem solved instead of joining forums for the sole purpose of giving this business a bad name. How many other places did you post this tirade anyway ??

Since you paid with a credit card, you are protected. Check and make sure your car doesn't have any other issues. If it ends up bring the hv battery, which I suspect it is, I would have that battery replaced under warranty. Their delay in installing might have to do with them rushing the balancing in getting the battery to you

It also seems that company doesn't pride itself on good customer care, I may just ask for a refund and get something else.

Easy rider i don't think you read the post. If its the 12 volt battery it won't start and the display acts crazy. My car died and never had a problem with the displays. They replaced the hybrid battery. It was fine for 4 hours. Then the triangle of death and battery cooling fan came on and lost power again but not total power. They did something wrong and i am without a car.

Exactly JC1006. Terible customer service. I have already disputed the charges.

I quite assure you that I read every word, more than once.

I quit. You apparently do not want any advice or help in resolving your problem but just want to rant.

    Good luck.
I hope your assumptions all prove to be correct (and there are a LOT of assumptions in your story) but you are going about his all wrong and the odds are that you will end up being embarrassed in the end.

For instance........just because the 12V has been changed recently does not necessarily mean that it isn't bad again.......or maybe that the inverter has not failed and it isn't being charged. Just for instance.

You need to be getting some professional tests done before you make a total fool out of yourself.

The car should be scanned by someone with the proper equipment. Just to be sure you have the whole picture.

    Side note....
Since you drive for Uber and lift, most battery replacement companies will not have as long (if any) warranty for fleet vehicles; especially cabs.
Just thinking that you may want to ask about that sometime during this process so you are not surprised later.

Please do Not use Juan or Hector from hybrid battery expert company based in orlando florida. i have had a horrible experience in them taking my money and not returning it.. they do not honor their warranty at all !please go to dealer if your having problems with your hybrid battery to get it replaced and fixed the proper way. These people just take your money.
