I think one of my family members left our 2006 Prius on overnight. Now the doors won't open except with the key and the car won't start. Can the auxillary battery be charged with a battery charger like on a "normal" car? Thanks!
Yes, it can. However, like most other 12V batteries, it might not work very well after it has been fully discharged. The manual (at least in my 2005) recommends disconnecting the negative terminal from the ground before charging. Also, do not charge the battery with a current higher than 3.5 amps. Good luck!
If you jump it from another vehicle, Do not cross up the positive and negative. This can cause damage to the inverter. You can also charge/jump at the fuse box under the hood.
