Rain Repellent Washer Fluid on Headlight Washers

    I like it on the glasses, but does anyone think it will cause any harm to the headlight plastics?

    I use detailer spray on the headlight plastic to help with bug removal. Never had any problems.

    HOT soap water does more to remove bug guts than anything else I know.

    Good point but only use auto soap...dish detergent cuts away any wax job it touches.

    The green stuff that they sell?
    I'd do a little more research before I categorically said it will not damage the plastic headlamp covers.
    I recall reading where Rain-X damaged certain motorcycle components such as visors and windshields....BUT
    I've never used the green Rain-X windshield washer fluid in anything other than automotive windshields.

    For M/C use, I prefer the blue coral wash with the occasional Lemon Pledge touch-up.
    Just watch out for the honey bees! ;)
