Comments, suggestions, all is appreciated including the make and model of a reputable tire that you would recommend. I am leaning on the: 225/40/18 Michelin Primacy MXM4 ZP
Personally id go 215 so the tires won't look as chunky at least in my head. Not sure how much of a difference visually you would actually see.
here's a couple of pic of 215/40/18 Continental DWS on a 18x7.5 wheels I have pics on 215/40/18 and 225/40 18 tires on my tread but on a 18x8.5 wheels..... you could check it out here.... After 1 year (JDM ZVW30 project).... | PriusChat the tires on the Rays 57DR Gun metal wheels are the 215's and the 225's are on the Velvet Red Rays 57Xtreme wheels... both are continental tires.....
I know im beating this to death but my wheels are SUPPOSE to be 18x8.5 et40. Im really thinking I screwed up but not going with a 215/40/18. I love me wheels from the side but looking down the side of the car from the rear, its driving me crazy that my front tires are sticking out past the front fender. Last night I ordered camber bolts but im really about to put my brand new 225/40/18 on craiglist and go for the 215/40/18. I just want somebody to tell me "Sure if your wheel IS a et40 and a 18x8.5 it SHOULD not stick out past the fender with a 215/40/18" lol What would make it stick out past the fender (1) because its a et40? (2) because its 18x8.5? (3) because its a 225 instead of a 215? or all the above? I just don't get it, if it sticking out at a et40 which makes me think im gonna need a et45 to bring it in, why do I seen some of you guys sitting flush with a et37 -et40 with a 225/40/18? Some people have 18x7.5's so with me having 18x8.5 does it make that much of a difference? Sorry for highjacking and asking a question...you can message me @bino
