hey garm, can you take a picture of how the insulation under the hood is attached? maybe ill try to get an oem one if i even have the mounting locations.
it was fairly simply. you have to remove the lens then just take out the old bulbs and put the new ones.
well this is my latest mod. rear view camera hooked up to a gentex auto dimming rearview mirror with display, compass and temperature. Dayshots Nightshots
the mirror is 50-GENK3320S. the rear view camera is some ebay license plate camera with night vision. LED Dome Lights with LED Footwell Lights Rearview Mirror Backup Camera with Compass and Temperature Toyota Highlander Radio Full View
nice mods. how does the video image get from the rear-view camera to the mirror? and how did you get power to the mirror? Thanks!
i am running a video/rca wire from the camera to the mirror. the wire comes thru the license plate up thru the hatch then down the left side of the car till the front. then i brought it back up the A pillar to the mirror. the mirror is getting power from a fuse tap that i placed in the drivers kick panel fuse box.
i also have the c1. i prefer itz lack of junk under the hood. also the interior is bigger for me without the armrest stuff so wifey & i get to snuggle once in a while. also therez no headrest adjustments to mess with. so much less things to break. and the light gray interior matches the Moonglow gray to make a brighter more airy cool car. my only other mods besides debadging it are running 44psi in the tires all around. that tire pressure increase definitely improved the handling and ride height. btw check your spare inflation, mine was underinflated.
