I just bought a 2011 Prius III and there is some schmeg on the inside of the JBL radio's clear plastic led cover. The long rectangle screen protector. I feel that if I can get it off I can clean it so it will be crystal clear like new. Anyone have tips how to do this ?

Is it possible that it's the protective film from the factory that was supposed to be removed upon delivery?
I don't have anything like that on mine.

Download the instruction file (pdf) from post #1 in this thread for your model:

    priuschat.com/threads/anyone-interested-in-how-to-bypass-the-factory-navigation-speed-lock.98717/

It shows how to get the trim pieces off to get to your factory MFD. It doesn't show you how to remove the screen piece, but once you have the MFD removed from the dash you can probably pop the MFDs front bezel off.

Thanks this seems like a good route so far for me to take short of going to an expert...
