Would anyone here know if there are any significant differences between the 2013 and the 2014 models of the Prius C in the top end trim model? We were thinking about keeping just our 2012 Prius V but now are wondering if we should get a 2013 at the end of year closeout or a new 2014. We do not care about having the latest year model unless there is some engineering or technological advantage in doing so. Thank you! Mike
I notice that for `14, they let you have the 15" steel wheels in the Three, and they let you get the upper trim levels without buying the sunroof. There has been some helpful press: 2014 Toyota Prius C First Test - Motor Trend
Wow. I guess I shouldn't be surprised by the number of dopes commenting on that review who TRASH the Prius (and the Corolla for that matter). I should've remembered that it's likely gear heads who read & then comment on such reviews. Makes it seem like a Prius owner can't be both a "car guy" and someone who likes to save money operating a car…all for better acceleration?
Didn't they also change all the blue interior trim (like on the doors and beside the glove compartment) to gray in the 2014?
for information's sake, the 2014 stock 15 inch tires are Goodyear Assurance as opposed to the Turanzas. 1lb lighter each than the turanza's
Um...there has always been previous 2012-2013 pc3s that either came in 15" steel or alloy wheels and also pc3 and pc4 can come without moonroof for previous 2012-2013 years...it's just very rare (unless you directly order it w/o moonroof...which you would probably be paying the premium price upfront anyway, so you might as well go negotiate a pc3/pc4 already on the lot and still pay less then ordering one), since Toyota likes to throw moonroofs on almost all pc3-pc4 just to make people pay that extra $850+ for it. I thought it was whatever wheel they had on hand? b/c both C's I have are 2013 and one has the assurance while the other has the turanza? so I doubt that's really a change
I have a 2012 C4 w/out moonroof. There wasn't one available in Habanero with a Moonroof within 500 miles of my dealership at the time. They actually took money off to accommodate it not being there.
that's really nice...I don't really care for a moonroof or even use it much, but every pc3-pc4 in my area had moonroofs put on them (and dealers would use it as an extra bargaining chip to up the price tag more, zzz)
